Throughput boosts: BLK+9% Ninja +6% wind +9% Rather, her unique advantages, such as her supportish ultra, are things that don't require or especially benefit from legend diving. Yes, Yuffie does in fact have the same Legend Materia as Edge but she won't deal as much physical damage as Edge. Throughput boosts: Thief +9% Ninja +15% weakness +3%
R: Again, consider between Edge and Shadow As noted for Edge, he does lose the pblink proc, which can cost him a few chase hits on occasion.

Thanks to having a situational relic, Shadow can generally do quite well with the sub/main combo, delivering massive Ninja damage with a full 33% boost.
Throughput boosts: Ninja +18% PHY +3% katana R: Between Edge and Shadow, consider the advantage of each carefully. Besides keeping him safer against pblinkable attacks, it also gives him more consistent two-hit chases / full-damage Blink Exploits. There is an elemental difference though, with Edge preferring water and lightning, and Shadow strictly preferring dark.Īnother difference is that Edge has better interaction with Blink Combo and his ultra, thanks to the pblink proc on his relic-LM. Edge will have slightly better SB use if he's wielding a katana instead of a thrower. On the physical front, Shadow blows Edge away in ability use, thanks to having 33% Ninja boost - which Edge can't match even with his variety of boosts. On the other hand, Yuffie has a considerable MAG advantage, which even in the cap-swamp will be some extra damage. Also, his ultra is tuned for DPS, while Yuffie's is much better for support. While both have the exact same Ninja boosting and the exact same set of Legend Materia, Edge has considerably higher ATK, along with the SPD boost that Yuffie can't match. On the water front, Edge does a bit better than Yuffie. There are two ways to do the Edge comparison: either to Yuffie as a Water Ninja, or to Shadow as a Physical Ninja. Throughput: Ninja +12% Thief +3% Weakness +3% PHY +9% katana. As Hybrids, these two simply don't get it. Note that Yuffie and Fujin are slower, because only those with the Speedy dive will get a SPD boost from their Legend Dive. This outlines what your baseline stats will look like with just full dive, not with relics. The Celerity-focused Ninjas use the Speedy dive pattern with DEX/BRV (yellow/red) motes: 1 5 6 9 C D G 5 6 C D G <- H So what we will do here is to not include Lion or Kiros (yet), but include Yuffie and Fujin. Kiros cannot legend dive yet Yuffie and Fujin dive as Hybrids and Lion is a Thief who happens to have ninja powers. While we have seven characters with full NInja access (discounting Tyro of course), four of them pose problems for now. Ninjas also pose something of a problem for Full Potential posting. Virtually unmatched in Speed, they can lay down shadowy justice in short order. In FFRK, Ninjas attack with a combination of elemental Ninja Magics and special physical attacks that can bleed opponents with the Sap status, or add and exploit personal Physical Blink effects. Ninja is often blended with Thief, whether in story (Yuffie) or mechanics (Edge). FF4 added the iconic Throw Stuff ability, as well as changing their magical ability into a unique Ninja Magic - which in many later incarnations also took the form of Stuff that could be Thrown. First seen in FF1 as the upgraded Thief, he was simply a warrior that could also use mid-level Black Magics. Ninjas have had a strange history in the Final Fantasy franchise.
